I have recently had my BBS LM's refurbished. These are a bit of a ***** to keep. Very little use and still the polished rim was showing some white bloom on the alloy. Had them diamond cut and then powder coated on the inside with the rim lacquered.

Took the opportunity to bring in one of my spare wheels as well. Cool

Beautiful wheels Tom. Thumb

Bit like a woman, they need diamonds to keep them happy.

Nice rim job.

The spiders webbing of the lacquer is inevitable....if you get a little stone chip on it the moisture will get in underneath.

Try gtech C5 on them. Cool Cool

Nice looking wheels.

I've had lots of split rims over the years and would never lacquer a polished or diamond cut lip now. The smallest bit of damp or break in the surface and it will spread like wildfire. A good sealant and wash with pH neutral car shampoo will ensure longevity of shine.
If and when they do become dull then a quick rub over with metal polish and re-seal is all that's required.

What colour did you go with on the LM's? They look a bit darker than 993GT2 Steel Grey 61W, which always seems a bit light to me.

Tom, it goes without saying that those wheels are beautiful.
Can I ask who did the refurbishment for you?

ARP, I use a local guy who does mobile repairs on powder coated wheels (visits on a far too regular basis to sort my wife's wheels) . We did a contra deal in that he split the rims, had them machined and then he lacquered them and reassembled. I paid for the diamond cut work and have agreed to donate a prize for his daughters school raffle. Very Happy Feels much better than just handing over cash.

If I had known what cableguy said then perhaps I would have just managed the bare rim with a bit of extra maintenance. In any event they are like new again.

More than likely sell the BBS LM's. Don't see me using them on the RS.

Not sure price wise what these are going for now? Question

Not sure about the offsets, I had to use spacers on the Turbo.

The sizes are below, not sure if they will fit NB and WB?

Front BBLM099 8.5*18 LM 5 *130 ET56
Rear BBLM144 10*18 LM 5*130 ET 50

Those offsets are middle ground for a 993. They rears would be very aggressive for a NB and would most definitely require arch rolling, whereas a 10, 12 or 15mm spacer would be required for a WB depending on the stance required.
Fronts would work on both, however some cars might need a little arch tickle to stop rubbing on full lock.
