Do OPCs still do fixed price servicing for 993 model cars

Tonbridge certainly does. Helps to mention PCGB.

I think the 'Porsche Classic' marketing department have given things a bit of a revamp. I've been offered a 'classic oil service' using 'Classic Oil' for mine. Price isn't so 'classic' :what:

OPC Portsmouth used to have a specialist trained 'classic' technician but he got exported to Porsche Dubai...

They don't seem to do servicing at prices that compare with the best Indies. I've used Portsmouth, and they gave great service but it was clear they don't see that many older cars. For example, I had an alternator problem and needed a new one fitted, and they didn't have the belt tensioning tool so had to order one in...

That said, their showroom seems to have featured a lot of older 911s recently. So perhaps their focus on older cars will change in time.

I also got the "Porsche Classic Oil Service" offer (sold the 993 2 years ago) from from Reading OPC, cost £330. I sssumed it was a annual service, but it's just an oil and filter change using Porsche Classic Oil and you get a 1ltre tin to keep. This is the list of OPCs that offer it. http://www.porsche.com/uk/accessoriesandservice/classic/oilservice/

OPC Brooklands have at least one "classic" technician and there has always seemed to be a couple of 964/993 in the workshop. Their published menu pricing only goes back to 996/986, but if they're within striking distance they might be worth a call.

That's interesting to see Hatfield on that list.
They've probably realized they messed up and lost customers. Last year they quoted me £810, for the minor service so I went to jaz.

But is £330 for an oil and filter change going to have classic owners beating a path to their door? For some people it will makes sense to keep a fully stamped up OPC service history, but recognised indie's such as Northway and Porsche Torque will do an annual service for around that!

I took my 993 to Porsche Leicester and was completely raped and pillaged-
Never again.
Go to a decent Indy like Dove House.

10 litres of top quality oil plus filters £100
So they charged £230 for 30 minutes work (that's how long it takes me to do an oil change and I'm not a Porsche mechanic)
Still at least you get the tin to keep ... Well worth it, that's an impressive hourly rate
