Are these the parts needed if changing the Tandem pump:

(35) 997.107.022.01 Tandem pump
(36) 999.073.317.09 Round head screw M6x30 (Qty 4?)
(37) 997.107.055.05 Vacuum line for tandem pump

Will I need any o-rings or gaskets?

Thanks

There is a thread where covers were tried and unsuccessful. Those particular ones were taken off the market. Not sure about the one listed above.

Well this one has lasted 12 years, so don't feel the need to experiment with it.
Would rather just get the right parts for it. I will be getting a Pierburg pump rather than Porsche one.

The O ring should come with the tandem pump , it looks like your exhaust flange studs also need doing , worth doing it all at the same time as with exhaust removed its easier to get the pump bolts out ..

You can though just remove the pump on its own providing the bolts come undone.

4 bolts are req.

Thanks - yes you are right, the exhaust fittings are all gone aswell. Will get it all done together.

Hi Porker2009 Phil 997 and I got ours from Autodoc.co for £260 each
my indie charged me 1.5 hours labour @ £58 PH to fit the pump
hope this helps

Thanks - that is useful to know, I will be ordering the pump from autodoc aswell.

Does the engine oil need to be drained when changing the tandem pump?

Poker , this is the chap you want , It is not showing the 997.1 on the list, but it is the correct part , if you want to double check chat to them on live chat they speak good English.

the vacuum line I got from the OPC

Thanks - that's the one I bought, with a 5% code I received for a water pump I ordered from them recently.

As you say, Vacuum line I will get from Porsche.

My car running costs are starting to creep up..

lol oh yes forgot they give an extra 5% with a previous purchase, nice one :thumb: :thumb:

The pumps are Pierburg wether you buy from Porsche or not, I managed to change mine without changing the hose .
Methinks that dealers and specialist find it quicker and easier to chop the hose and charge the customer for the new hose.
