Oil pressure at zero - fix not unique to a 996 I hope

Hi, (sorry to the 996 owners, i originally posted on the wrong forum)

Using the car yesterday I noticed the oil pressure guage was at zero. Stopped the car to listen and look, but no adverse changes noticed. Switched off, left for a few seconds and switched on again - same fault. No low pressure warning light and only an unrelated MIL code.

Switched off, then started again, this time back to normal. Drove home (occasionally looking at the road not the guage), all ok.

Plenty of 996 posts on here point to the sender unit, but absoluteley none against the 993. The images of the sensor for the 996 looks identical to the 993, so I am hoping, I just have a dodgey sender or wiring to it.

Just for info, the gauge wasn't completely dead as it kicked/blipped when I switch the ignition on.

Will poke around the senso and guage this weekend, but wondered if you had any anacdotes?
