So that'll be the reason for my slow puncture then...

So gonna change both at the back now after this.

I've got Bridgestones all round and am going to take this opportunity to put PS2s on the back.

First question is - I know ideally all 4 would be the same but I think we've concluded that 2 of the same on the same axle is fine right?

Second question - I'm going to use a mobile fitter for convenience but I want to check he's going to bring recently made tyres not old ones. Will he even know before they're on the van? I don't want them delivered and they're old tyres.

Hate it when that happens!

Personally I'd change all 4 tyres at the same time and sell the fronts if they have reasonable tread in them... certainly you'd then get all the benefits of the PS2s which I use and many on here rate highly.

I'd give Chris at Exel wheels a call if you want a mobile fitter, specialises in wheel refurbs and highly experienced with Porsche, but also gets some great deals on tyres and will take more care when fitting tyres on your alloys...

DOT number will be on sidewall of tyre. This tells you the age of it.

Same tyres on same axes always. IMHO different fronts and rears are fine. So long as you don't mix radials with cross-plys

The build-date is on the side of the tyre: I just got a set of PS2s marked "1216", ie week 12, 2016. I'd also change all four to keep grip levels the same, front to back.
