Bonjour a tous.
Just came to say hi, and see if I can join the club here. I occasionally visit the 993, 964 and 968 sections. I don't post too much, but I do enjoy reading and learning from the smart guys and girls on the forum.
So now I have bought a new toy, and I need to learn how to drive it properly. I have done a few track days over past twenty years or so, both in the UK and Europe, and had a little coaching now and then from the likes of ; Bernard Aubry, Andrew Walsh, Sean Edwards, Don Palmer, Jonathon Palmer's team. The problem is, I have only done about ten hours on track in the past two years, and not a great deal more in the previous two. So. I am at best a little rusty, but more than likely way down on the skills to pilot a very quick 968.
I will be collecting the car next week, and bringing it over to Harwich where I will be met with a transporter. I need a few mods to be carried out in order to register the car in the Uk. Headlights swapping for road legal units, road tyres fitting, maybe exhaust CAT (Will I need one?), air jacks removing? I need a good indy who can do that and maybe do the registration for me too. Someone between Harwich and Folkstone. Any recommendations?
I will probably leave the car with the Indy for a week or so, and then come over to collect it with a transporter. I would be interested in a track day and or some tuition whilst in the UK. Maybe 26/27/28 august or 2/3/4 September.
Anybody got anyrecommendations?
