Best place for replacement of pccb discs when worn and price??
Cheers

Replace with steels? Lots of options from oem drilled ro grooved. Jzm and other specialists do loads of kits
Performance friction two-piece discs are good.

SICOM will refurb your discs back to carbon ceramics. http://www.torenno.com/sicom

A new ceramic
Not replacement steels

Try surface transforms, have spoken to a few people who have used them on GT3s and Turbos and have had very good feedback about their products, particularly from track day users...

What about getting a new disc if one is broken?

The PCCBs on the 997 turbo are 380mm front. The steels are 350mm I believe.

Many thanks as usual everyone

New PCCB discs. Cant see the point in replacing with steel discs. :dont know:

might be worth considering options to refurb

A mate of mine has some silly 200mph tuned Audi RS6

I think the discs are even bigger on that . He had his refinished , rather than replaced. He is still alive, so I guess the brakes work :floor:

Can anyone please provide a link/recommendation to any UK based companies that can re-furbish PCCB?

I don't need this doing and won't for many years but still it would be good to have at least an idea of possible options.

Thanks I saw the link, that is a German company though, with no UK base hence my questions.

I also found this thread makes very interesting reading, regarding the company mentioned- Sicom:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=48&t=1502023&i=200

Apparently they have taken on too much unrelated work, huge delays of up to 6 months, lack of replies, no refunds, angry customer out of pocket 3000 Euro on the pistonheads thread (half way down the page on link I posted).

Their UK sales rep posted on the last page of that thread saying he quit due to the companies very poor support and letting everyone down on the refurb discs in 2016, he also mentions they are having problems with the plant in Slovenia where the work is apparently done. I did not find out if the unhappy customer wanted new discs or just refurb but it would worry me either way.

So it seems like for now at least they are not an option?

Apparently due to the process involved in refurb there are no UK based companies doing it yet, hopefully that changes- anyone know of any?

Surface Transform don't refurb just new discs and £7995 full set front+rear for 997 Turbo.

£8k for all four discs and pads is a very good price.
Presumably they are after-market parts, not OPC factory originals?
