Possibly stupid brake duct question...

If you swap out the fog/side lights for air ducts, are you losing side lights? Isn't this an MOT issue?

The Ducts sit where the Fog Lights go, some are a full Duct (RS) and some have Fog Lights built in.
MOT requires Front Fog Lights to work if fitted to the car. If they are not then no problem. ;)

Side Lights are retained whatever fitted.

Yes, I get the fog light point, I thought the side lights were in that unit too though?

You've got me thinking now... Plenty of 993's in the UK wearing full Duct plus indicators. Maybe the side lights are routed to the headlight? I will have to ask my local specialist.

Yep just went out and checked my car and the side lights are in the fog light unit. For a moment I thought that they were in the head light unit :?

ATB :)

Not quite such a stupid question then.

(Ready to be told otherwise...)

As per the OP's question, I have a pair of OEM RS/GT2 Ducts as seen in pic attached that I intend fitting over winter.
There are plenty of cars running these in the UK, for example JZM's Yellow GT2 kitted RS has them fitted. Does anyone know what happens to the sidelight for legal/MOT compliance?

Obviously you have to have sidelights for an mot , i dont think theres any provision to fit anything in the main headlights but the pict you posted seems to show the front indicators also have the side lights .. outer side of the air dicts is a seperate light unit to the indicator which would be the sidelight.
