Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum, but been on the 993 forum for a couple of months, albeit mostly just to try and defend a 993 I butchered!

I carried out the restomod of a hpi clear, totally standard and original '81 SC last year and wondered if there would be any interest in the project.

I have plenty of pics of the process and alterations.

Here are a couple of pics of the finished article.

I like it a lot

What did you do to it exactly.

I would love to one and Singers are silly money

Thanks. Wanted it to be recognisably a SC, just a bit cleaner and less cluttered. The best mod was def the Fabspeed muffler and cat bypass. Sounded brilliant.

Basically took it to bits, resprayed it and then put it back together minus the bits I didn't like. Added a few bits I did like and left it that.

As follows:
Strip down to basic shell
Respray (no real repairs required)
Out back together. Deleted front splitter, rear spoiler, side skirts, number plate mount, rear bumper over riders, rear wiper.
Added smoked front indicators to blend with bumper rubber strip, Fabspeed exhaust, side decals, wider wheels and toyo tyres, new brakes and lowered and set up suspension.
New/ vintage momo Indy wheel with patina, new stereo.
Cleaned up engine bay and blasted fan.

That's was it really.

Kept all the original bits so could be put back to 100% original.

Very nice, I like it a lot :thumb:

Looks very clean, I like it.

Outlander,

Excellent result , mods are very subtle and suit the car....

Just goes to show that a slightly modded car can be a successful project....
