Hi all,

As a few of you may know I'm a regular in the 993 forum, but I am also the owner of a 912, but sadly due to lack of use I am considering selling.

I have my 993 which I have just sunk a chunk of cash into to make it 100% well sorted and useable, plus I have a new business which consumes most of my time these days... and the upshot is that my 912 is just sat in the garage for months on end.

This is a shame as it is one of the sexiest cars I have ever seen and draws crowds wherever it goes.

I'm unsure as it what it is worth if I'm honest. 912's are rapidly increasing in value as we speak and I have seen fully restored examples for sale from £50-80k, and original running/driving examples in need of full resto seem to be around the £25-30k mark.

This isn't really a formal advert as such, but if anyone is possibly interested then please get in touch and we can have a chat. :thumb:

The car has around £41k worth of invoices and recipes with it!

It's a 1965 Karmann hand built model, short wheel base, 5 speed and 5 clock, so it's the most desirable of them all.

Was originally a Californian car, so was fairly tidy, but has had literally everything replaced such as floors, sills, and pretty much every other component... hence the £41k in bills.

It drives great, pulls like a train with loads of power, sounds amazing, and generally is just a stunning thing. MOT'd etc.

912

Hi, very nice car. I though 912's were retailing at about £30k these days?[/code]

Well this is why I said I don't really have a clue as to what it's worth!

The below is what's for sale at the moment at what I would suggest is a comparable standard of restoration or condition to mine, although I would make it clear that I have no intention of being greedy with price and would be open to very reasonable offers, not necessarily anywhere near as high as some.

I know that with early 911's now well over £100k for nice examples, the 912 is now the next best thing for people who want the early 911 look and drive without the price tag, which has sharply dragged prices up recently.

And one that needs restoration:

I would say that those sellers are trying catch someone out looking for a 911. Those are 911T prices for something without the engine to go with it.
Great looking car but I would say it's with £28k private
You could try an auction as it would reach a foreign audience as well as domestic
