BMW 1M Coupe- more fun to drive than a 911 ?????

I purchased a valencia orange 1M four months ago and despite being a die hard 911 fan I have to concede I find the 1M far more fun and exciting to drive than any previous cars I've owed -including 911's.
Any other 1M owners on here?

The engine is in the front dude :nooo:

OK, the 911 engine is slung out the back :hand:

What you need is an engine in the middle, where it is supposed to be :thumb:

By the way, I have all 3 :D

Pug ugly though.

Indeed- parked next to my 993 the 1M appears somewhat lacking
in the looks department - but there is no mistaking the performance......
and like the Z3M coupe some folk like the oddball looks.......

I'll bet it's a huge amount of fun, and a lot more inclined to oversteer, powersteer, and generally get in trouble with. I see owning a 1M as a bit like having a wild Venezuelan beauty as your mistress... loud, curvy, all over the place.

I test drove one for a friend some months ago, expecting that I would really like it, but came away somewhat unimpressed. TBH I much prefer the drive in the CSL.

As mentioned by several of the car journalists you do need a fair bit of time in a 1M to get used to it and get it......but either way most would agree a CSL
is a better car- hence a low mileage one is about £70,000.....

I like the 1M. My only criticism is that you can't get sportier seats. Good fun car.

You can get sports seats fitted at a BMW dealership-
but they are extortionate.

Yeah, they look really cheap. Not.

Looks stunning. Glad you found one. Low miles?

Love the 1M as I'm a bit of a BM fan.
Had a 130 and a m135i.
Found the m135i ok at first but the fun soon wore and got bored of it really quickly.
To be honest I'm quite tempted to trade in my 911 for an get an M2.
Someone talk me round :D

19k on the clock.....but steadily rising.....
at least it's keeping miles off the clock on the 993......
