Just wanted to say hi, thank-you for such a great forum! It's been a fantastic resource over the years.

I am soon to be back to Porsche ownership after an interesting break.

I started with a 986s years ago. Children forced me to progress to a 996 C4 (in Polar silver - lovely car, regret selling that).

Then moved onto a 997.1 3.6 in blue. Sold that too soon, it was troublesome and cost $$$ in repair bills!

Had enough of second hand cars and bought a new M135i - unbelievable technology, but lacking soul. Left hankering after a P again.

Then had a bit of luck and won a car!!! Cost me £4. http://www.classiccarwin.co.uk/winner.html
It was a laugh and the kids loved it, unfortunately I don't have a garage to do this justice. It was great fun- the smell of petrol, lack of power steering and old car 'experience' was hilarious!

Anyway after a long break I am back to Porsche again. Why on why can't I buy anything 'normal'. I've also become really predictable, 'oh he's buying another Porsche'. Honestly I tested so many other options lotus, BMW, etc, etc. I wouldn't say Porsche is my favorite brand, but for the money I just can't find anything better and always end up back at P. And I've got to count myself incredibly lucky to have one again.

So after deciding between a 997 and 996 C4S, I've ended up with a 2005 997 C2S. I didn't care about colour, options, manual/auto etc. I was just looking for work done and service history for piece of mind after my previous 997 experience. This one has just had a FULL engine rebuild at Autofarm to include ALL cylinders replaced with their silsleeve improvement, as well as the new, larger IMS bearing. New rads and silencers too.

I am hoping this is a keeper for many years to come! Not collected yet. Will post pics when I pic her up in a couple of weeks.

:welcome: back.

Looking forward to those pics. :thumb:

Welcome back :welcome: you have made a wise choice

Sounds like you have a great car this time... welcome back :thumb:

Welcome back, so to say
Auto farm are a very reputable engine builder so no worries there.

Out of interest, is it a private purchase or specialist?

Good luck :thumb:
