What us the life expectancy on the battery within the tyre pressure sensors?
Are these covered by OPC warranty or are they seen as serviceable parts?
Had conflicting messages from 2 different OPCs

Not a warranty item - they are considered a consumable. Officially the lifespan is over 4 years, but in practical terms most seem to make 5-6. There are also aftermarket options that work with the system which are significantly cheaper than OPC prices for boxed OE replacements (search the forum for details - it gets covered periodically).

Generally they fail at 7-8 years, statistically that's the average age for all the ones we have replaced.

They are a 'consumable' so unless very premature failure they would not be a warranty item.

Out of interest what is the replacement cost?
You can PM me if you prefer

Thanks

Cost comes down to location and if done with any other work. PM sent.
