Word up, my homies. Not posted in a while due to a change in career, new business etc. Had an opportunity to buy another business, same industry and would push my business a couple of years into the future.
So, thinking about selling the 993 to fund it. Would value your thoughts on where to pitch it, as I'm part way through turning it into my ideal 993 and it isn't quite purist spec any more.
The good.
Manual C2 coupe in slate grey metallic.
Dampers replaced recently with Koni FSD.
Full respray (less sunroof panel) carried out in 2 phases.
Both screen apertures sorted.
Chassis legs sorted.
Serviced beyond requirements during my ownership (2010 or so, mainly Northway, also Precision)
Recentish new discs and pads.
MOT a couple of weeks ago, no advisories.
Service last week at Northway.
Receipts during my ownership for a painfully large 5 figure number. Mostly elective.
The bad.
120k miles ( i know, condition etc)
Rear undertray missing.
Wheel arch liners seen better days.
Driver's door pin could do with replacing.
Steering wheel looking a bit sad.
Service history before my ownership not supported by invoices/receipts. Book stamped by reputable indies.
Original soundpack car, no longer.
Alarm disconnected some time in the past.
Non-standard.
Headlight washers deleted.
Front splitters (have originals, easily replaced).
Carpets replaced with lightweight set from Southbound, no rear seats, belts etc. Still have belts, shelf (poor condition, hacked by previous owner to fit aftermarket speakers).
Door cards replaced with RS style, made by southbound in cocoa leather. Yellow pulls, focal speakers.
Rear panels in cocoa leather.
Door caps in cocoa leather.
B pillar trims in same.
Seats refreshed and retrimmed in cocoa leather with deviated yellow stitching and faint Porsche logo embossed. By Southbound.
Engine lid grille painted body colour.
Fan blades painted yellow.
Rear blower delete, CF bypass pipe. Still have blower and fan shroud.
Pioneer BT mechless headunit fitted.
CCU with aircon controls fitted (non ac car).
Cat bypass. Still have original cat. Standard mufflers fitted.
Other bits.
Spare set 18 inch turbo look wheels in steel grey. Tyres fitted but useless.
Becker indianapolis pro
Ac compressor and condensor (to go with ccu, planning ac retro fit).
In an ideal world I'd keep going, inspired by some of the 964 chaps until I got to my perfect car. Sadly, I may have to be a grown up and let it go to pursue an opportunity that's too good to miss. Thing is, I've no idea where I see the value of this car to someone else. No point selling at below 30, no chance of being at the top end of manual c2 coupes.
If not too crass, what do you chaps think?
