Found it more 'funny' that nobody else stopped and just carried on driving down the grass

Why would you stop when the guy is out the car and walking around?
You never see race cars stop they let the medical staff and track staff sort things out.

Same crash from behind, apparently the guy lost a thumb

 
Hard to believe anyone could survive that. Imagine the forces in the car. Clearly something in that 5* Euro NCAP rating...

Big kudos to the guy who rushes to his aid, putting himself in considerable danger to help. :worship:
