Jammed sump plug washer

Well, today I changed the oil while she was up on stands and blow me if the sump plug washer isn't jammed in tight.

I tried everything to get it out but for fear of damaging the threads or the face of the washer I had to admit defeat and simply refit the plug.

Any advice on how to remove? It does appear to have been well and truly squashed in there!

The sump plug sits in a hole in the sump, so it sits flush? The Ali washer is just flat, but the old one is jammed in the recess, not in the threads.

Have you tried a bit of heat to release it?
