Hi
I hope you guys are all having a good so far. I'm looking to place a new order for 991 C4S shortly but I just wanted to find out something that's been bugging me for a while and the dealers haven't been able to answer.

The buttons below the PDK box, on every model I'll looked at it seems to always have 3 buttons missing - what are these 3 buttons? (see photo attached).
Its really annoying me, to the point where I just want to get something to 'fill' it in. So my next question is where can I buy more buttons to fit it in?

Thank you.

I asked the same thing and was willing to pay for the parts/fitment, however I was told they wouldn't do it!!!!

Oh thats a shame.

I'm guessing someone has tried taking out the console and fitting the button caps themselves (assuming they could find the parts to buy). Even just as a dummy button, using the buttons from a GTS (to shows different option, even though they don't work).

surely its got to be a simply DIY job?

That really is a serious case of OCD.

There is a 'Maintenance Pack' for the centre console switches. The Surround is not available as a separate part. The switches are not individual switches at all but are part of the base unit and all 10 are in fact 'functional', the wiring loom takes these switch outputs back to the dash.

The Maintenance Pack contains a full set of switches, including the Sport Plus, PASM, PSE, PDCC for the 991S, and the new Front / Rear Spoiler Deploy for the 991 Turbo and Turbo S.

But best of all for those with OCD it also includes a full set of blanks that can be modified for your own use. I'd recommend some emoticons as button labels, perhaps >

:dont know: :wall: :puh:

Haha yes, OCD I was going to mention it myself but I thought I'd let someone else!

This maintenance pack, do you know where I can buy this from?

OPC, but be prepared for blank stares. If you trawl through the PET for 981/991 you should be able to find the part number.

I've got the PET for the car but they seem to be locked by password PDF's - is there any online version?

Thanks

If you download to your local HDD they do appear to require a password. Opening the links directly in Chrome shows the contents though.
