Stripped the blower out easy enough on Saturday and exposed the engine side of the lambda, only the find...they're shipped the wrong bleedin lambda sensor!
Argh!
Awaiting a response on how to exchange and when the new one will arrive.
You're better off buying a Bosch one. AFAIK that's the only one that plugs straight in without the need for cutting and splicing wires. _________________ Steve

Hi Chris, love the new wheel mate, you getting it re trimmed in black or grey to match the dash? As for the lambder, make sure they send you the one with the plug, if they don't DO NOT cut the wires, they don't work! Something to do with the signal that goes down the wires is so weak they don't work if the wires are cut and rejoined. Got the t shirt mate. Anyway keep up the good work
Ps if they can't get you one Andrew page along the road will get you one for the next day for £78 ish.

I ordered from those chaps first Zingers, they sent the wrong one! French outfit, so little hard to sort the refund, but it's on its way back now.
Bosch one was cheap from our local supplier, so at least the money stays in the country and doesn't pay French workers

Guys please be gentle and try not to laugh at this!
Last time I looked at my exhaust I didn't see a lambda sensor or any sort of wiring. Just what looked like a bolt screwed into the hole where the sensor should be.
Is this even possible or could the sensor be elsewhere on the exhaust. This has been the case since I bought the car.
Cheers,

Just kidding mate dont panic if you have no sensor it will have been looped out, although not sure why it would be done if you still have a standard exhaust fitted ? unless it went faulty and looping it out was a quick fix
Not sure about that steering wheel Chris _________________ 2007 997 Turbo & 924s Restored

Hey no worries Gaz, it's a bit of a 90s acquired taste! Most people like them without the centre horn pad. Once it's re-trimmed it may turn a few more heads.

Thomas, that must be wot slowing your car down so much!
Chris, the wheel looks better in that pic without the horn push? Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh. Won't take long for it to come from Japan you'll probably have it for the weekend

Where would one go to get a wheel trimmed locally? _________________ 1990 911 C4 in Guards Red with black leather. Tweeked and fettled ready for the summer.

Looks a lot better without the pad ,
Thomas that explains it some of the de-cats have either no hole for the sensor or its blanked off. _________________ 2007 997 Turbo & 924s Restored
