Multi Car insurance

I own two cars. My day to day run about and my Boxster Spyder for, well when the sun shines.

The Insurance is due on the runabout at the end of this month and I can get a comparison site quote for £250 ish.

The PBS Insurance is £650 and due to be renewed at the end of March.

So I go on to a well known ship based Insurance provider and do a multi-car quote and it comes out at less than £600 for BOTH cars (£230 for now and £380 (equivalent for the year) for the Porsche in March)

So my question is 'What's the catch?' Loss of no claims on both polices? tied in to a policy because I'd have to renew both together? There has to be something I'm missing..... Can any one see it?

I am amazed there aren't more of these. I assume the risk is highest when driving, and you can only drive one at a time, so the additional risk from an extra car is basically the theft risk, which I would have thought would not be huge.

I have a multi car policy with the company you refer to for the same reasons obviously. Couldn't see a catch! I know all those Porsche specialists always being touted were unable to come anywhere close on price so there could be a catch!

If anyone is interested I've gone with this. The two questions I asked were:

If you have an accident does the NCD come of the car you were driving at the time... Yes.

Was it heavily discounted to get my business... No

Protected NCD was an extra £20, for one car, I only had enough NCD on one car.

So I guess what I'm saying is... If like me you have two cars it could be worth looking at :)

There's a flaw in your theory martin mrs corn is insured on your cars right. So you can be driving both cars at once :dont know:
Does any one remember the rider policy for bikes one rider any bike it was brilliant

Ps are you doing Movember again

I've had a multicar policy for the last couple of years, my Insurance is usually cheaper for both cars with these guys than it is for each car on its own with anyone else!
Get 2 no claim discounts that you can swap names on and you get less paperwork to worry about as well :)
