Got a quote from few Insurance and the best I got is £940 and £500 excess. Really good cover, courtesy car......etc. I am late 30's , 8 years no claim, and live in countryside where crime is low. Is it a good price ?

Car is a nov2004 996turboS.
 
Doesn't sound thast cheap to me.

I'm a similar age, live in an urban area and had 1 claim and 1 conviction and was only paying £720 on a 997 Turbo Cab.

Still room for a better quote. I pay less for mine.

Try Aviva/ Porsche Insurance.
 
How long have you had the 911? Some insurers want evidence of Gp20/High Performance type Insurance before rpemiums start getting really good.
