BOSE surround sound - looking for opinions

Gents,

Coes anyone have an opinion on the BOSE option?. I've been looking at used 997's & most seem to have it but not all.

I'm not interested in having a DVD player in the car but I do enjoy my music.

Could anyone give me the 'heads up' on what improvements the BOSE offers over the stock sound system?
