I would have said the same about the GT3R Hybrid this time last year, but it came within 2 hours of an outright win, so it has to be possible. Depends upon the rules though - even without the hybrid stuff the V8 in it already makes well above the target power output of the handicapping system.

Audi are also sure to complain after they again failed to secure the win with now 7 factory backed 5.2 V10 R8s in the event... (They were griping before and during the event this year, and having the top Porsche crews all fail to finish doesn't really put the gloss on them finally finding the podium - behind the sole Ferrari - in the race that has been won by a 911 or an M3 every year from 2004).
