What model is this?

I am trying to figure out what the model of Porsche is that I saw recently. It looked very similar to this 1979 model, but it also had a set of gills in behind the rear wheels as well as in front as shown. Any thoughs? I'm thinking it may have been a custom rear skirt/bumper, but I figured i'd ask the gurus first.

looks more like a 930 LE to me

you could get them as a flatnose or as above

The front bumper on the OP is probably a RUF or replica RUF.

Responding to the first post, the gills behind the wheel looked like a scaled down version of the set in front, Not like the one you showed. I'm guessing it's custom since I have never seen that before on a stock porsche.

Here is a sort of example of what I mean

This picture is not similar to the car, I was just wanted to show the rear detail. I beleve it was a 79 930 like i originally posted.

I have a 1989 930, I thought the 930 LE was the slant/flat nose version of the 930. I believe that the 930 was discontinued in 1989 wasn't it?
Is there a conventional looking 930 LE version and how is it different from the standard 930 which is what I have. :?:

Conventional LE, ie a 930 turbo with rear vents and running boards but standard wings and lights

As per the blue car a couple of posts above

I saw a red LE on Saturday, looked great even though it had a 935 style rear wing on it which looked slightly incongruous

Is the engine the same? i.e 3300cc , 300 bhp, do the rear vents serve any purpose or are they just for styling?
