Still a few years away but Porsche are well under way with the development of the next 911 generation. Here the latest spy shots reveal an updated rear style for the main 911 Carrera S model.
The next 911 generation code named the 991 will be launched in 2011 (2012 Model Year) sporting updated Direction Injection 3.6 and 3.8 litre engines.
Power increases are expected to be modest with the 3.6 litre engine now generating 350bhp, up 5 bhp but with fuel economy further increased to in excess of 30mpg for the combined cycle with lower CO2 emission levels.
The 3.8 litre S model will feature a 390bhp engine with fuel being the focus and the car producing more than 28mpg on the combines cycle and lower with lower CO2 emission levels.
