Fact, The diesel Porsche Cayenne now accounts for 60 per cent of Cayenne sales in Germany and an increasing proportion of global sales where the Diesel Cayenne has been made available.
As a result Porsche are looking to expand the Porsche Diesel Range and now under VW ownership are looking at developing the current VW 5.0 V10 Diesel Engine found in the VW Touraeg for use as a new 500+bhp Cayenne Diesel Turbo.
Porsche already has planned the Cayenne Petrol Electric Hybrid for 2010, there will now also be a Diesel Electric Hybrid later in 2010.
No word has been released to when this range will be featured on the newly launched Panamera but it is expected to be added to Porsche's new super saloon later in 2010.
Give it a few years then Porsche may start to sell more diesel cars than petrol cars !
