Hi all,
I am looking at used 997s at present. I have been offered one that ticks the spec boxes and budget, but it is not from an OPC but from an Indy dealer (not one of the big Porker ones but a smaller prestige one). Now we all know the warranty is important, and this co. offers an MB&G warranty which is backed by AXA. I am told this is a total cover comprehensive cover policy etc etc. But whoever I talk to about how good this is I get different answers as you might exepct as follows:
* From the dealer offering the MB&G policy - "this is a total cover policy, they do pay out, do cover engine and gearbox and essentials just not genuine wear and tear". "The Porsche OPC warranty is 3rd party anyway! All are in the main so you just need a good one like MB&G".
* From OPC or Specialist Porsche Indies - "no other warranty policies are worth the paper they're written on. Only settle for an OPC or in-house warranty".
Does anyone have any advice please? I don't want to expose myself to poor cover and thus huge bills if something goes wrong ( )...however if this MB&G is what it says it is then it sounds good?! :dont know:
Thanks for your help!![/b]
