Sports car, Super car, Hyper car? Which is yours?

How about:

Hyper: Veyron
Super: Carrera GT, 959, maybe GT2?
Sports: the rest

The 911 is often referred to as 'the supercar that you can use every day'. I for one would agree with this

Carrera GT easily fits in the hyper car bracket IMO. And a boxster would be in the sports car bracket.

Mine is used to, commute to work
do the weekly shop
take daughter to playgroup
occasionally go fishing in
trash around the UK roads
the odd trackday
take garden rubbish down the tip
etc etc etc

There isn't another motor that is able to do all this and be so sharp, reliable and pretty.

I'd call it a well designed, classic, well built, sports car

and i love mine :cloud9:

Mine was a Supercar when it was built in 1992, but IMO a 911 is now a Sportscar. Having said that, I would put the GT2 and possibly the Turbo in the Supercar class. I guess the modern benchmark is 200 mph.

Supercar:

1) Oxford English Dictionary: noun a high-performance sports car
2) Wikipedia: term generally used for a high-end sports car, whose performance is highly superior to that of its contemporaries

Carrera GT : supercar
Carrera GT2 & GT3: sports car
Carrera 2 & 4: family car ... :?:

According to The Knowledge in Evo, 911 turbos, GT3s, GT2s and Carerra GT are all supercars, whilst all other 911s + Caymans are coupes/GTs and Boxsters are sports cars.
Seems pretty fair to me

Sports Car: My old dad's Mk 4 Zodiac circa 1970. Great front seats-more like beds when reclined. Great for a bit of courting or squireing
Super Car: My E Type Jag with modified engine and Triple DCOE Webers,
circa 1970 :driving: .
Hypercar: One and only drive in a 7 litre Cobra circa 1971 :salut: .
Big Bob :bye:

Carrera GT : super (mans) car
Carrera GT2 & GT3: sports (mans) car
Carrera 2 & 4: (girls) car

So, is that driver aids = girls car? Doesn't the GT2/GT3 have some sort of basic traction control? (no, I don't mean PSM, I mean straight line traction control)

Hyper cars = Mclaren F1, Veyron, Zonda league.

I think the CGT is knocking on the door of Hyper car territory though.

GT2, GT3, 997TT is also a supercar.

The rest are sports IMO.
