Just get underneath it and have a look at the joint between the engine and gearbox, you'll soon see. A little oil means vrtually nothing unless you have a Porsche warranty, then your OPC will tell you it's a major problem and just about to go in a catastrophic way. They'll replace it and get £650 + Vat from the insurance company.

ah, good 'ol OPC, glad I've got that warranty then, already paid for itself with a new aircon compressor, like I need it over here....

The reason I don't have an OPC warranty at the moment is because it lapsed (selling OPC *****-up) and when I had the 111 point check done by my local OPC they said it needed an RMS first... However, it had a new RMS under warranty just 2 months previously!

As Seagull said - good money earner for the OPC - a few drips of oil on the engine undertray and that's a couple of hundred quid profit.

Ker-ching!

Its also worth paying for a new clutch to be fitted at the same time as RMS repair under warranty- the labour element in addition to the RMS is virtually nothing.

Don't worry about it, just enjoy it, esp if you have the warranty.

I sometimes wonder how much happier and less worried I'd be if I took no notice of forums!

Not sure said it before but with the warranty, you can drive it as if was stolen !! Also additional required extra is "Road Angel"..
