Did my 1st track day on Friday - new Bedford GT circuit with LotusOnTrack. I now know why I bought my car - loved every minute of it even though I got rinsed by the Lotus' and even a race spec Peugeot 205 that gave everyone a good hiding. Were some Cayman S's there that were seriously quick, and a GT3RS on slicks that was being driven very slowly. Awesome day, am booking my next trackday today!
During one of my many spins, the brake pads light came on. It went off by the end of the day and didnt come on for the rest of the weekend (300miles more motorway driving). I was wondering if this is a gentle prod to getting new pads, or if I need to get them done asap? My service is in August and between now and then I will cover 3k miles, including a 1250 mile trip to Biarritz.
At the service I also need new discs, as Sid @ Hatfield says they are too rusty to pass the Mot.
Any advice on how soon I need to get new pads done? I really would love to wait until service, as its a major pain to get my car to a dealer. Thks for any advice.
