I'm iminently looking to sell my current 996 C2 to make way for a 997 C2S.

Over the last couple of days I've been wrestling with the idea of selling privately which I had previously dismissed due to the hassle and potential risk but am now coming round to the idea.

The car is a 2000 'X' with 52,000 miles. I've been looking at the various adds on this and other sites to gauge what would be a sensible price to put it up at, but there seems to be a fair degree of variation. I'd be looking at setting a realistic price as I don't have to wring every last penny out of the sale.

If anyone has any views they'd be appreciated.

Spec: Lapis Blue, Metropole Blue Leather, Sport Design Wheels, Alu Dails and shift/handbrake, 3 spoke wheel.

Car has fsh OPC/Paragon and has 4 new tyres, years MOT and new rear discs. It would be described in the trade as a very clean car.

Not much seems to be selling. There is that mint silver Carrera 4 - 2000 X with 45k miles and full OPC histiory an 12 months OPC warranty for £27k.

Spot on - I think this is what I should be realistaically looking to achieve.
