Can you retro fit sat nav to a 996 c4s 2003 model

too much money,

you would be looking at approx £2500 for second hand,

and approx £5000 for new.

just to fit the telephone module, and cd stacker in an 03 car with PCM2, but no phone module was £1250 from an OPC, I know cos I looked into it for my C4S

hi,

Been researching this for some time now. With the MOSTbus 2003 onwards cars you can retrofit the PCM2 no problems. Prices vary but you do see them on ebay.

A pre 2003 with no MOSTbus there are far superior aftermarket products out there which are easy to fit.

For example the Pioneer AVIC D3 and the Z1. They have the ability to have the amber backgorund colours so it looks factory.

Presently going for the outdated PCM2 is not worth it.

If you do then there is an excellent guide for installation with pics on the RennTech forums.

I have no doubt we will see some products that will incorpoate the optic fibre MOSTbus connections allowing easier install. However you can still get the aftermarket products to work on the 2003 cars just more difficult.

Regards Alan.

I don't know if it would be of help to you but Paragon (Tel. 01825 830424) in Five Ashes, Sussex may well be able to do this kind of work. Speak to Richard Harfoot and tell him I sent him your way.
