Flywheel - easy to damage?

I need a new clutch: pedal bite is right at the top and for the first time yesterday it juddered when I engaged gear and drove off (albeit only once).

Unfortuantely OPC cant take it until next Saturday and I have c.40miles to do between now and then. What I wondered is whether I risk damaging the flywheel by carrying on driving it? I really dont want to end up forking out for a new flywheel as well. Can anyone advise?

my c4S had a heavy clutch and a slight judder for 30k miles from the day I purchased to the day I sold, never got any worse despite track days,

when RMS was done 15k miles before I sold, they said the flywheel and clutch could do with changing,

it was still the same as when purchased when car was sold

make of it what you will
