yeh its a 52 with 43k - sat nav, 3 owners, phone, cd, FPSH except last one at porsche specialist.

the dealer has it up for £51 ish i think - i'm looking at maybe bidding £47ish??

cheers

I would say the car is worth £47k Max. When I was looking at 996 TT's 6 mths ago a 2003/52 with 30K miles but no Sat/Nav booked at £45k.

You need to buy it if you like it, but buy it low price as you will def have to take low offer when selling. Problem is if you buy from dealer you are paying more than a private purchase so when you sell you could have a big drop.

If you ar ekeeping it long term should not make much differrence if you like the car, if its a short term ownership you need to be careful.

Yep agree.. But, then I have red interia and silver, but with black wheel.. Always the photo's show the red as very garrish.. In fact the dealer I bought mine from said to me on the phone that it was 'terracotta..' The dealers I spoke to recently about trading mine did say it is 'an aquired taste' and as such don't command top money, but you get that benefit when you buy !! SO if you like it buy it...

I think red is better than black! Black can look very worn and untidy if not cared for. My car has the terracotta interior and it looks like new! Have a look....

John Paul, I think the "Terracotta" looks superb. It's nice to see some different 911's. I'm so bored seeing silver and black. Every car other car you see is silver with a dark interior. And they are dull, dull, dull.

have let this one slide - if money were no object maybe i'd have taken a punt at it - but a red dashboard i can see will cause issues when selling, so will keep to the safe route for fear ofdepreciation!

cheers for comments, the search goes on......

John, your car interior looks great/as new... but how many miles does the car have?

That's a stunning looking colour combination - really classic - 8)

Thanks guys! I loved the colour combo as soon as i saw it.

It's done 96k which i find hard to believe as there's not a scratch on it and the interior is as new. I think it's got a lot to do with how you maintain it. If you just get in and out 2 or 3 times a day then the leather will wear and stretch quickly and you'll end up with cracked, ripplied and shiny leather.

I always use a pair of plain car seat covers (must be breathable) so my arse never makes contact with the seats unless its a special occasion. I firmly believe this will help maintain its value. I also feed the seats at least once a month to stop them drying and cracking.
