GT3 OR 993RS

I think a good LHD 993 RS is not far off a GT3 price wise, @£50k

Got to be 993RS every time, wont be a long way behind a GT3, however bullet proof depreciation, and the looks,

"Probably the best looking 911 of all time"

One for the true purist, ranks up there with the original RS, and will probably command the same sort of prices in 20 years.

The 993 certainly held it's own amongst the 996's and sounded great too.
Please define...!Let's get real guys, the 993RS is a nice car, but it can't hold a candle against a GT3 or GT3RS in terms of performance. On circuit, the 993RS is relatively slow compared to the GT3 on the straights and through the corners - and that's with a bus driver like me at the wheel. The 993RS looks great and it sounds fab as well, but apart from that it really is just an emotional choice...
In the end a lot comes down to the driver (obviously!) and maybe the 993RS pilot was one of the most experienced out there, but on this occasion that car appeared no slower than the 996's especially round the corners. Noisewise, with the exception of one of the Parr cars that sounded a right old beast, the 993 was the best Porsche on circuit. I have to admit that one or two of the Caterhams sounded quite good as well....

993 RS is where its at !

GT3 just does not have the lines/looks of the RS !

surely most gt3 drivers buy the car for the driving experience/dynamics rather than the looks?

If so then surely the more recent the car the better it is?

On paper and with bum on seat, GT3 is no doubt the better performing car. The 993 however, is more of an emotional choice. Depends on what you're looking for, when you spend that kind of money on a "toy", you want it to make YOU happy.
