As I am planning on an immenant (sp?) purchase of a 964 C4. I was just wondering what sort of MPG I can expect to see on day to day driving. A mix of motorway and town driving? Just a rough idea please.

Thanks

Jay

My 3.2 seems to churn out better than 30mpg on dual carriage way and good single carriage way A roads. Not sure in town as it never really does it.

Haven't really bothered to calculate it apart from the first month when we got it.

mines just round town, with the odd excursion onto the country roads...........get roughly 16-18mpg...............my Corrado gets 21-23mpg with similar trips

You might be better to ask on the PCGB 964 forum as I don't think that there are many 964 owners here, but I could be wrong!.

My car gives about 24 mpg, but a lot less on A roads :D

Low teens to low twenties depending how I drive.

Not sure what you'll get from a 964, but I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. For such a great sportscar all 911's are very economical. I've got 23mpg out of the GT3 on a commute into West London. On a long motorway run I've got 28-30 mpg. The longest single run I've done was 130 miles & averaged 28mpg, with speeds between 80-100+.

irrelevant but I just got 41.6mpg on a cruise in this morning (996 3.6) after my wife averaged 17.5 mpg on the school run all week.

MY C2 993 used to give approx 27mpg,

My first 996C2 used to give 28mpg

And the C4S, seems to hover around 25mpg

The Boxster S I have at the moment is doing about 18mpg - I thought it would be better than my 996 which gets 26-27.

I usually travel on A roads in the week and i seem to be doing about 100 miles per £20, which remarkably is exactly what i used to get in my 2.5 944!!! I was quite astounded but pleasantly surprised!

I certainly am (has caused me to think about new shocks though - so it could be expensive!). :D
Even crusing at 70 mph on the motorway the boxster is only getting 29mpg though.

My C4 993 I used to get around 27 MPG

My C2 993 I get about 30-31 MPG

Thats a mixture of A and M roads, When I find my right foot has got a bit heavy I get around 16-19 !

Dan

Excellent, so it won't be too much of a shock then :)

Out of interest do people use normal unleaded or Optimax/Super etc.?
