Doors wont open with remote

I have a 1999 996 carrera 2. Up until today the central locking worked via remote. Now it doesn't?? Any suggestions?? There are no fancy alarms just the standard porsche system. The battery seems to be fine in the key as the red light works fine.

Did you leave the car parked for a long time? By long time I mean more than a month?

Could just be the 5 day sleep mode. Did it work again after starting it up?

Hi,

Yeah the car was left for a while, and I the battery had to be recharged to start the car. But it did work for the first time on the remote after the charge then it just stopped.
