I discovered something that i thought i would share with you all (i hope i wasnt the only one not to know this)

Reutter Karosserie used to make the bodies for the 356.

When Porsche stopped using the company for making 356 bodies, Reutter, faced with losing their biggest customer, reformed into Recaro GMBH - the famous seat company and the preferred seating company of Porsche to this day.

I remmember reading something along those line somewhere in a Porsche book. Isn't Recaro a result of joining 2 companies, "Re" from Reutter and can't remmember where "caro" came from.
