A couple of times recently my ABS on my 996 seem to trigger really easily. It's always at low speeds (under 20mph) in traffic. what could cause this?

I've noticed the ABS in my 330Ci triggers in poor weather when one brakes going over cats eyes, manhole covers, potholes. I guess the system picks up differences in wheel speed briefly in the poor traction which triggers the system.
