Hi all,

I'm in fairly desperate need of some new boots for the front wheels of my 996 C2.

Which brand and type should I be looking at? I remember the OPC pointing out that my existing ones aren't suitable due to their rating....?

Thanks in advance,

Andy

All Porsches should wear "N" rated tyres which means they've passed Porsche's speed tests etc.

You'll find other threads on this site regarding tyre choice and it generally comes down to personal preference and experience. Continental SportContact, Pirelli PZero Rosso, Michelin Pilot Sport, Bridgestone Potenza S02, etc all fit the bill.

Beware that the N numbers match - you may get a SportContact N2 rated tyre from one dealer and N3 from another - this normally means the tread pattern has changed. You should certainly match tyre types on a given axle, and some would argue on both axles.

Micheldever tyres

near Winchester comes highly recommended by people that have used them in terms of both professionalism and price.
