I have been looking for a high specification LHD 964 for some time now. I really don't mind anymore if it is a coupe or cabriolet but definitely not a Targa. My ideal specification would be a Tiptronic C4, either later model or with flywheel etc. done.

However the only 2 that I have viewed have been obviously involved in heavy accidents and/or clocked. If I can tell with my limited knowledge they were in a bad way.

If anybody knows of one that is currently for sale and is enthusiast owned I would be very grateful if you could drop me a line.

Thanks very much for that. Do you know anything about the car itself ? Are Oakhills a dependable bunch? I have seen a couple of their adverts before but have never contacted them.

I bought my LHD 993 C2 from them last year. The prices reflect the way the cars are sold - no free coffee, no super valet - just the car as it stands. Mine has been great though, no major issues.

Mart - '94 LHD 993 C2 - (for sale)

Haven't bought from them personally, but they come highly recommended from a friend who bought from them a couple of years ago. Just don't expect to get much out of a part exchange with them (ask me how I know !)

(I'm interested in the '93 C2, but sadly unless I can shift my 3.2 pronto then it's not going to happen)

Well .. thankfully I have no part-ex ( even I worked out why !), however I guess that means little or no discount for cash !

and Thanks nitrous for the confirmation. Looks like I'll phone them tomorrow.

Anyone else with any hot tips for a C4 tip??

If the ECU supporting the 4 wheel drive buggers up, you've had it. It happened to mine and no specialist or OPC was able to sort it out. I tried several new and used ECU's but all failed. Howabout a 993 with most problems sorted out? Also, check out the 964 Titanic website. Good luck.

Thanks for your words of warning, I have never seen that as a problem before. So what did you do to your car to resolve the issue ? Send it to the scrappy ? Surely you didn't sell it on ?

I did sell it on - well, back to the dealer following a lot of arguments. Not sure what they have done to resolve the problem.
