In the Porsche workshop manual it says to use talc powder or glycerine on the rubber seals.
My targa roof had the odd creak when shut and open so I decided to buy some Glycerine from Tesco's pharmacy (you use it to help soothe a sore throat or chapped skin) and apply to the runners of the targa roof using a small pipette.
Had a drive around Oxfordshire at the weekend with roof open and shut and not one squeak from the roof.
Cost of the Glycerine, under £2 and only used a quarter of the bottle.
I wouldn't be too concerned if this is going to damage your rubber seal because Zymol devotees may be using the Seal product which uses Glyercine as the major constituent.
Hope this helps
