Went into Stratford Porsche yesterday re: new 997, told me first delivery was in Sep'04, want the 3k deposit now. Left with a brochure and have just spoken to a 'friend of a friend' who said that he's had a deposit/name down since early 2002 and is still not at the top of the list, say's probably Nov '04... Porsche also told me that they 'have no idea when or how many cars they will be allocated,' so who's telling the truth? I am thinking of buying this guys place in the que but have no idea how much I should offer... any ideas??
