Well Quickfit have done a great job and the car has 4-point harnesses in the back now.
Very professional job and the harnesses can be unclipped so the seats fold down for luggage space...neat.
The answer to the straps/brackets that existed on the car, Quickfit tell me, is that they are (were) straps to hold a Porsche-supplied baby seat. The lap belts provide the real strength, these straps hold the seat in position when it's fitted.
