Seat pockets

My hard back seats are in need of a refresh and am planning to get them painted body colour, slate grey, rather than the pale grey of the leather.

On the backs of the seats there are leather pockets at low level that slot into some holes in the plastic seat back.

I just wondered if these would be standard on cars with factory painted seat backs, as I think the pale pocket might detract from the look of the painted seat?

What are my options if I remove the leather pockets - visit a motorcycle specialist and get the holes filled with plastic weld?

Regards
Ian

I know you can get vinyl painted, don't see why you shouldn't be able to do the same with leather :?

I dont think it would cost much to get them remade in black leather. I dont use them and it would look cleaner without. Also, items inside will rub on the nicely painted surface.

If they are standard fit on all hardback seats then I'll probably stick with them.

Cheers
Ian

I believe the pockets are standard - they were on my C4S hardback seats

Thanks Haywoon.

They look very acceptable. I've since done a google search and there were many painted seats with the pockets and just one without (I expect a GT3).

I think I'll leave them on to keep originality.

Thanks
Ian
