RS Gearshift linkage and stick question

Hi,

One of the first things I bought for my C2 was a replacement genuine porsche gear knob & shroud as the original was really tatty.

However, a few years on and I now need to replace the worn gear linkage system and would like to go the RS route.

As I am a skinflint, I want to keep my knob & shroud, but I think it is pretty obvious the RS lever is longer, but is it longer in the car? I want to know if I can save £150 or so by keeping my C2 knob & shroud.

Is an option to go RS/Golden, but keep a C2 lever?

Any suggestions enlightenments out there?

The original knob and gaiter fits on it. Just a little less baggy.

Confirming this as I curently have the set up you describe. Just stretches out the baggy leather a bit.

that's great, thanks guys. Also confirmed by a rennlist search.

I will start creating a parts list.
