I noticed some water discharge under my 2003 996 C4 more than I would normally expect due to AC condensation. Water was coming from the middle of the car, roughly in line with the door mirrors. When I took off the front underbody panel to investigate, it was clear that the water was coming from the short rubber pipe in the middle of this photo (you can see it is wet). I guess this is some kind of overflow / expansion outlet valve? Does anyone know what that is?
There has been no drop in coolant level. I've had the car 5 years, and the level of water discharge under the car is more than I'd expect due to AC condensation. It's formed a puddle about 10cm across.
I'd appreciate any advice / confirmation of what this 'overflow" (?) pipe is for. Thanks
