If anyone is considering winter tyres then I can highly recommend these. About 700 miles in now and as the temperatures have dropped up here in the last 10 days these are coming into their own. Very impressed with both cold/frosty grip and how they work in heavy rain. Also remarkably quiet compared to the Contis and Yokohamas I run on my other cars.

not cheap but remarkably good :thumb:

You must be the only person who drives a 993 in winter. Most have trouble keeping their carcoon inflated with hot air

Some of us are still driving our 993s, probably the high mileages ones like mine. Son and I had a day off yesterday and did a morning road trip from Bath to South Wales. Warm enough so my summer Michelin's were fine

Was minus 5 when I drove to Gleneagles last night!

I use them on the 944, great tyre. On 16" so won't go over the big reds on the 993. I used the 993 all last winter on Vredesteins which were terrible but following my chassis leg repair I've put her to bed for winter.

I would rate the Pirellis #1, Yokohama advan winters #2 and the contis #3

The Yokohamas grip is as good but they are noisy AF
