The joy of north eastern roads

Up in the NE (the 'Mighty' Redcar) with my son. He's having some bodywork sorted on his Nissan Micra as its so much cheaper than Warwickshire.

Staying with my parents & going for a few drives across the North Yorkshire Moors - all roads I used to cycle in my teens. Now enjoying blasting along in a 911 - absolutely stunning scenery & fun driving. Remarkably traffic free even tho it's half-term. It seems the sheep are still the main road users as they were in my cycling days!

This is my first Porsche but I'm absolutely loving it on these northern roads...

& then when not driving a walk along a deserted beach. What's not to like.

Having some bodywork done in the Mighty Redcar eh? At Storey's by any chance?

Nice car dude, nice roads too. The best bit is there's usually no ***** on them either!

Shhhhhh..... don't tell the southerners though, they might actually twig that it's better up here!

Most of my business is south of Birmingham and it amazes me how many people haven't ventured North for their belief of " It's grim up North "... :grin:

Body work being done at Race Finish in Marske

Must say... it's nice to be 'back up north' for a while. North York Moors - stunning. Roads empty... chance to open it up!

Yup, the 169 is the road that always reminds me of the 'ring, amazing drive which keeps you on your toes all the way thru to Whitby & then it's fish n chips time! :grin:
