What Wheel colour?

I have a seal grey (don't know why it's called that it's more like silver) 2005 C2 with silver wheels.

I'm giving serious thought to changing the wheel colour to either Matt or gloss black alternatively the dark grey I've seen on some latter models!

I'm leaning more towards Matt black but an undecided.

Has @nyone gone from painted or gloss wheels to Matt ? If so what's you4 opinion of living with Matt ? I would think it could be harder to keep clean!

I am more of a traditionalist and generally prefer silver / factory finish wheels. However, I would highly recommend you consider / speak to Chris @Exel Wheels, once you've decided. I've just had mine refurbished in Chrome Silver, awesome!

No matter what colour you choose, a poor finish will be instantly evident!

I like black wheels (maybe not on black or dark blue cars) and have gone with gloss as Ive felt that the reflections makes the details of the wheels more visible and interesting. However, they're like gloss black cars, they show every chip and scratch and only look as they should when clean. If you like to dress your tyres and over-do the gloss effect, it can look too much IMO.

Im not so sure about a genuine matt finish on wheels, I think the better alternative to gloss would be a satin finish. It would probably stand up to being dirty or having the odd blemish better than gloss and it does seem more modern, the later model cars seem to have gone this way. Think I would go satin next time if it suited the car.

I was at
PORSCHE Colchester the other day and there were 2 new red Porsche's 1 with gloss the other with Matt / satin, both from factory.
It was a good comparison but body colour of red is very different to my silver.

I've got satin black winter wheels on the other car (which as it happens is also 'dark silver', otherwise known as grey).

I'd prefer them in gloss black as they look like they're covered in brake dust, even when they're clean.

I would get them done in anthersite and then the face flashed with a chrome silver to lift it slightly heres my vertini magics done that way on my old gen1.
