996 early C2 - Ownership/project thread (cobalt blue)

Love the wheels and greetings from a fellow MTBer! I need to get a roof rack for mine as well now.

With some of the cash from selling the my Audi I bought new coffins arms and tuning forks from Spyder performance, I then spied some barely used KW coils on eBay and took a punt. Got them the other day but one isn't right so there off to be inspected. Even if I need that one redone I'm more than quids in. There barely used. Will get everything swaped over winter.

Annual oil change today, nothing on the magnetic sump plug so all good. Also sold the Veloce wheels as there was some others for sale that I was interested in but not sure now as I do really like the Panameras back on it.

There's a guy on Facebook based in Hungary who always seem to find these sort of things. Rarewheels I think is what he calls his site.

I just eBay a lot and also German eBay.

Seem to be having an issue with brake wear light. I fooled all sensors into thinking the pads are fine but it's not going out. Quite annoying.

Good progress Graham.

Are you using Cornering Force in Harrogate? Let me know how you get on and the costs if you don't mind. :thumb:

New rear shock required so went with two new.

MOT today and dull numberplate bulb was all that was required. About 4500miles since last one.

Put my private plate on it, liked the T plate but had this sitting so thought I'd use it. Reckon I'm going to sorn over winter and try clean up underneath properly when fitting suspension.

Still looking good. 8)

Good result with the mot. Had mine done yesterday morning. No drama thankfully.

But yes get it sorned. Give the old girl the winter off.
You'll be amazed where the time goes anyway Graham, once you strip it, assess it, sort the underside and inner arches etc. Big job. :thumb:

So picked this lot up today. Got them from Locosak
i (nice to finally meet you) for a good deal. Wanted a second set of wheels completely different to the others and Motorsport look.
Rear tyres need changed and currently has the Federal 595r so might keep the same. I also think I'll redo them in grey or satin black.
Front bumper need some work but it was rude not to for the price.
